DMC Wooden Pens - Our Internet Workshop

                   

Welcome to the home of DMC Wooden Pens, part of the McIntyre Enterprises family. Our shop overlooks picturesque Wistful Vista. and is just a long stones throw away from Mount San Jacinto in the desert area of Southern  California.

Actually our name isn't completely accurate. Our shop has evolved and we now offer hand crafted wooden mechanical pencils, desk sets, and bottle stoppers. We are also developing a line of pepper and salt mills and kitchen items such as ice cream scoops, coffee scoops, and stainless steel hors d'oeuvres cutlery. We expect to offer these items in the near future.

Anyone can buy a pen. In fact there are stores that sell a box of pens for less than what you will pay here. Well, you get what you pay for. OK, so I'll buy an expensive brand name pen. Well now; you have an expensive pen that is just like the one that everybody else has. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to say that your pen is unique, unlike anybody else's? Now you can!

What makes our pens unique? Well it's a couple of things. Our pens, pencils, and desk sets are all hand made one at a time. No mass production here. We use exotic hardwood or acrylics that are carefully chosen for their appearance and uniqueness. Each piece is sanded to a minimum of 600 grit and then many layers of finish are applied. Then each one is inspected to make sure it meets our quality standards.

My wife and I are driven to produce a high quality, one of a kind item. What standard do we measure each of our creations by? It's a simple one: Is this something we would give as a gift to a family member? If not, it doesn't get sold. It becomes part of the reject box. We will not sell something that is not first rate.

One of the joys of woodworking is creating new designs and then finding out someone else likes them as much as we do. So much love and care is invested in our shop it's sometimes bitter-sweet to have one of our creations purchased.

Each hand crafted pen or pencil use easy obtainable refills. You can purchase Cross or Parker type refill and 7mm pencil lead in many stores.
